On Saturday June 6, 2020 Australia joined in the rally in the name of the Black Lives Matter movement, heralded by the killing of George Floyd at the hands of the police in the USA.

In Townsville, Australia locals gathered for a peaceful,  impassioned  call to end police brutality and to bring justice to the indigenous community.

With 432 indigenous deaths in custody and not one conviction since 1991, the message is clear:

Stand for justice.

Stand in solidarity.

Stand now.
